Job Description

We currently have 3 vacancies for Test Engineers (2 Double Dayshift & 1 Nightshift) within a Test Department based in Leicestershire

Person Specification

Pre-testing of coils, windings and associated equipment

Dax rotor balancing

Preparation of machines for running tests

Testing of AC machines

Testing of AVR's etc

Fault finding

Testing of auxiliary equipment associated with rotating machines

Qualifications & Experience

Applications are invited from Craftsmen/Technicians who are familiar with the companies manufacturing systems and electrical production test methods biased towards AC rotating machines and associated control equipment.

Minimum qualifications, ONC/HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, although candidates with lesser qualifications but with suitable experience will also be considered.

Rotating machines/Plant/HV background

Must be flexible and have practical skills

Must be prepared for occasional travel to sister companies and customers sites

Must have good communication skills

Must be prepared to learn new skills as and when required
