Overall Description of Job
The Health and Safety Consultant is responsible for the high quality provision of health and safety services and products to clients
Line Manager
The Line Manager will be the Senior Health and Safety Consultant
Tasks
The Health and Safety Consultant will be responsible for the following specific tasks:
·Undertake fee earning activities
·Ensure that clients needs are being met
·Ensure that work is being delivered to cost
·Identify and create opportunities to develop relationship with clients
·Assist with the development of products and services
·Report to the Senior Health and Safety Consultant on client service/product delivery and future work planning

·Effective, skilled trainer and consultant
·Willingness to work as an effective team member and contribute ideas on a proactive basis
·Good written and communication skills
·Good inter-personal skills
·Punctual and reliable
·Effective use of the Internet, e-mail, MS office

Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications Required
Essential
·NEBOSH Certificate in Safety and Health or equivalent
·Corporate Member of the Institute of Safety and Health (IOSH)
Desirable
·NEBOSH Diploma in Safety and Health or equivalent
·Registered Safety Practitioner
·D32,33,34
Experience Required
Experience in the following is essential:
·Relevant experience in a safety related role
·Advising client managers up to the most senior levels
·Developing and delivering training programmes up to middle and senior management levels
Previous experience in the following would be an advantage:
·Using MS Office, internet and e-mail
·Acting as a health and safety consultant
