Job Description

On-site electrical commissioning of PRISMIC units, large high voltage and medium voltage electric motors and generators and their associated control and protection equipment

Person Specification

This is a challenging and important role involving extensive overseas and offshore working, in addition to attending sites in the UK, often for protracted periods. A high degree of technical competence is required with a corresponding level of self-sufficiency and resourcefulness, as global time differences often mean that factory support is not immediately available. Applicants should be equally at ease working alone or as members of a team.

Qualifications & Experience

Either a degree (or a minimum HNC) in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is preferred though applicants with lesser qualifications together with a sound knowledge of electrical power generation and distribution may be considered.

Experience in commissioning and fault diagnosis/rectification of control and protection equipment used in association with high voltage electric motors and generators, including the latest multifunctional relays and microprocessor based
