Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Controls Engineer, specialising in generator exitation & monitoring systems.

Person Specification

Power management systems used for load shedding, power sharing and automatic generator starting and stopping.

Design of electronics hardware including use of power semiconductors and PCB design.

Software development using C and/or C++.

Applications of microsystems and communication equipment.

Generator excitation systems.

Electrical control and instrumentation engineering of power generation equipment including generator terminal cubicles and

protection equipment.

Brush products and systems.

Candidates should have good written and oral skills, general office software skills and experience working as part of an engineering team.

Awareness of commercial issues and an understanding of market led product development issues is essential.

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates must ideally hold a degree in electrical / electronics engineering or a closely related subject and have achieved or be working towards chartered engineer status.
