Reporting into the Service Desk Chief, the successful candidate will be responsible for the receipt of customer problem reports and the coordination of appropriate and timely responses, including channeling requests for help to appropriate System Managers for resolution, monitoring progress and keeping users apprised of progress.

You will be the First Point of Contact for customers submitting requests for assistance at COMKAF and will resolve Level I user CIS problems/issues.

Working closely with global purchasing on supplier development and management.

This role works with suppliers to ensure material replenishment to the facility is implemented according to the CPS Supply Chain process.

Performing value stream mapping at the supplier location and facilitates implementation of pull replenishment at supplier facilities, including supplier inventory sizing activities. Incumbent assesses supplier capability to replenishment to pull triggers, including processes, infrastructure, technology and culture. The incumbent interacts closely with Global Purchasing Supplier Development Engineers to assess and resolve supplier quality and delivery issues.
Supporting supplier efforts to improve performance to the Supplier Quality Monitor, and deploys processes and standard work for robust MRDR for supplier material.

Working with the supplier to perform capacity planning, develop solutions for supplier constraints and ensure suppliers’ demonstrated capacity meets facility requirements. The incumbent works with the S&OP function and provides key information for setting the executive production schedule.

Performing supply chain simulations to validate facility / supplier plan for every part data and MRC Connect planning. This position communicates supplier capacity aligned with marketplace analysis to product line scheduling groups and develops improvements in supply chain response time to achieve order-to-delivery targets.

Enabling supplier NPI readiness by validating supplier capacity (peak rate) in collaboration with Global Purchasing.

Ensuring supplier interaction with facility packaging and transportation resources to optimise packaging, containerisation, point of use presentation, barcode labelling, ASN compliance, enhanced communications related to quality improvements, and improving carrier selection and transportation container optimisation.

Ensuring suppliers have adequate people, training, tooling, fixtures, and equipment and provide technical support during start-up activities. Support suppliers to build capability to support Client's materials needs.

Maintaining a low cost country sourcing / low cost producer database, and provides subject matter expertise to 6 Sigma projects. Internal customers include relevant facility departments. External customers are facility internal and external material suppliers. Frequent Travel Required (50% - 75% working time)

The Integrated Logistic Support Manager (ILSM) will directly report to the European Logistic Director but will also have some functional reporting responsibilities to the Company’s Managing and Financial Directors as well as ILSM leads within the Organisation in the US.

Tasks:

The task lists, which are not definitive and will be adjusted to meet the needs of the programme, fall into 3 groups:

1. General.

· Provide the ILS focus for the LPPV programme.
· Continue to influence design to the benefit of through life support and optimisation of support costs.
· Provide the interface with the Protected Mobility Team, MoD (the Authority).
· Provide the logistic support input into all reliability, maintainability and testability activity.
· Represent ILS requirements at meetings and committees within the Organisation and with the Authority including:
· Programme Logistic Support Committee (LSC).
· Programme meetings related to the elements and disciplines of ILS.
· Management, Engineering and Programme meetings.
· Other programme disciplines (Safety, Quality, Security, Configuration Management, Risk Management etc).
· Provide the necessary ILS support to the Authority.

2. Pre-contract award.

· Review and update the LSA strategy for the Programme, defining the LSA tasks, LSAR data requirements and associated budget.
· Develop a cost optimised support plan using ILS and LSA tailoring techniques.
· Update and maintain the existing ILS Plan (ILSP) conforming to the objectives of the ILS strategy, identifying the tasks and milestones to be achieved leading to declaration of logistic readiness in accordance with guidelines from the Authority.
· Develop a support strategy, as part of the overall Authority’s Acquisition strategy.
· Ensure that coherent supportability requirements are included in all programme plans.
· Identify funding for all supportability aspects throughout the equipment's life cycle and ensure their inclusion in a costed Through Life Management Plan (TLMP).
· Plan for Supportability demonstration(s) and the subsequent declaration of Logistic Support Date (LSD).
· Represent LPPV’s ILS requirements to the Authority.
· Analysis of Whole Life Costs (WLC)/Cost of ownership (COO).
· Production of supportability plans.

3. Post-contract award.

· Work with the Authority to ensure that the logistic capability supports the required system operational availability.
· Undertake/manage Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM), trade-off evaluation and logistic modelling, documentation and training.
· Undertake/manage ILS and LSA processes.
· Co-ordinate the Supportability demonstration and assessment activities in accordance with the ILS Plan.
· Manage any relevant GFI and GFE.
· Update and validate support costs.
· Provide the ILS focus for the Authority and sub contractors
· Plan for LPPV introduction into service.
· Prepare the ILS element deliverables prior to LSD/ISD/IOC. (Especially pertinent to initial spares, training aids, tools and test equipment and tech docs)
· Ensure that delivered support data is provided in line with programme support strategies and in-service support requirements.
